Some twit has left their briefcase lying in University Gardens. The police are 'in attendance', the immediate area has been isolated as a precaution, and the staff in this building have recieved no less than three emails from Security asking if anyone has lost a briefcase.

Has anyone lost a briefcase?

EDIT: It turns out that said twit had placed his briefcase on his car roof, forgotten about it and then drove off. Briefcase then fell onto the ground and came to rest against a wall, whereupon a particularly cautious member of the public found it and rung the polis. Who then came along and blew it up. Contents? Sandwiches.

It'll be some guy who got gifted it by his wife. "Sorry honey, they blew it up in a controlled explosion. Gee and I loved that briefcase so."

How did they find out it contained sandwiches post-explosion? Did a large piece of brie and cranberry on wholemeal hit a bobby in the face in a comedy-manner?

I'm hoping that a solitary bit of sliced cucumber came wafting gently down from the skies, landing delicately on the nose of aforementioned bobby in a comedy manner.

To be honest, I'm just going on what Big Jim at the Main Gate told me.
